Vila Real (Spanish: Villarreal) is a small village situated along the Guadiana River, directly opposite the Fortress of Juromenha. Before this territory came under Spanish administration, it was part of the municipality of Juromenha and was known as Aldeia da Ribeira.

Today, it belongs to the municipality of Olivença, though its sovereignty is disputed between Portugal and Spain.
