Campinho is the seat of one of the parishes in the municipality of Reguengos de Monsaraz and one of the riverside villages along the vast Alqueva reservoir.

Near the small village, an airfield and a dock have been built, making it a hub for various nautical and aviation activities. There is also a picnic area by the Alqueva reservoir, making it a great spot for a relaxing outdoor meal.

At one end of the village stands the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, built in the 20th century with architectural lines reflecting the sobriety and monumentality of the Estado Novo period. On its tower, the bells from the Braga Foundry are engraved with the date November 1957.
