The São Bartolomeu do Outeiro Viewpoint dates back to the 13th century and marks the origins of this settlement.
The viewpoint is located at the highest point of the village of São Bartolomeu do Outeiro. Using the telescope installed there, visitors can enjoy panoramic views over the Alvito reservoir, Monte de Trigo, the Hermitage of São Pedro, Portel, Beja, and, of course, the vast Alentejo plains.
