Roman Bridge over the Brenhas River

This small bridge, commonly referred to as Roman, features a horizontal deck supported by a single semicircular arch with an approximate span of six metres. It was built using schist and granite, the latter being used in the voussoirs of the arch.

Its formal characteristics suggest that it may be of Roman origin, although its modest scale makes a definitive classification difficult. Nevertheless, it is believed that the bridge was constructed after the Portuguese Restoration period.
