Guadiana Valley Natural Park

Guadiana Valley Natural Park is a protected area covering around 70,000 hectares, located in the Baixo Alentejo region.

The park spans a large part of the municipalities of Mértola and Serpa and includes the surrounding area of the Guadiana River, as well as the town of Mértola, which is of great historical interest.

One of the park’s main attractions is the Pulo do Lobo waterfall. Also within the park is the São Domingos Mine, and to the south lies Pomarão—both places well worth visiting.
