The Cerca de São Paulo, dating back to the 1980s, is a space dedicated to leisure.
In the past, the Convent of São Paulo was located here, surrounded by a walled area that served as the convent’s enclosure. Currently, the municipal swimming pools are located on this site, and adjacent to them is the garden known as Cerca de São Paulo.
This wooded area is home to various species of trees, including palm trees, orange trees, weeping trees, laurel trees, acacia trees, oleander trees, an old mulberry tree and several olive trees. The layout of the trees is similar to that of the old convent orchard. The green of the trees contrasts with the white of the wall surrounding the park.
