In recent years, several high-quality museum projects have been completed in the Alentejo region, completely transforming the cultural offerings of the area. Whether through the preservation of cultural heritage, as research initiatives, or for their educational and recreational aspects, these museums represent a significant asset for the development of Alentejo.

Here, we present museums located in towns around the Alqueva region, which can form the basis of a cultural itinerary through the area.
