Casa Saramago is the headquarters of a working farm with over 100 years of activity. The former barn and other outbuildings have been carefully adapted to create 10 guest rooms, while preserving the original rural architecture and décor.

Located in Telheiro, near Monsaraz, guests can unwind by the swimming pool or relax under the veranda while enjoying fabulous views of Monsaraz Castle. The atmosphere is simple and typically Alentejo, where guests are warmly welcomed and the friendliness of the staff is ever present.

The property features a riding arena with accommodation for horses, and pets are also welcome. A range of activities is available, including picnics, horseback riding, and hiking.

In the surrounding area, visit some of the region’s remarkable megalithic monuments, such as the Menhir of Bulhoa (or Outeiro), the Xerez Cromlech, or the Antas of Olival da Pega. The medieval village of Monsaraz and its castle are not to be missed.
